When owners have concern for vessel’s safety in navigation in rough sea condition or worried with cargo discharging program or shortage issues, competent Port Captain engagement can be a cost effective solution.MARINE SERVICE maintain enlisted master mariner for providing port captaincy service at foreign vessels. This to protect our clients´ interests, avoiding extra expenses, provide daily reports and photos with competent comments and advice.When there are two discharge ports, our Port Captain continuously monitor vessel discharge operations at all discharge ports to ensure that she discharges her nominated quantity at every disport




Having many years experience in this work, our enlisted master mariners are specialists with higher marine education and sufficient practice on large capacity vessels. They will help you to speed up the process of cargo operations. Being on board the vessel at Chittagong or anchorage, our assigned Port Captain can perform all kinds of marine survey on ship. On/Off – hire, Bunker, Draft, Damage, Supervising stevedore operation, and other urgent surveys. All will allow you to save time and money.

Support Services at Chittagong Port and Anchorage, Matarbari, Mongla or Pyra. Once Our Port Captain is Assigned for your Vessel.  Total Operation Support is on Daily Basis. Please contact MARINE SERVICE for any queries.

  • Port Captain will Maintain good working relationships with all vessel employees.
  • May assist master at the time shifting from deep sea to anchorage following tide tables and communicating port control. Assistance during pilotage program from deep sea to anchorage during inward and outward movement based on separate agreement with vessel’s owners, managers or charterers.
  • Monitor discharging program and prepare daily reports.
  • Monitor sea conditions and make available information necessary to support navigational decisions.
  • Make frequent on-board vessel inspections to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations are maintained.
  • Interface with other Company personnel including marketing and logistics, maintenance and repair, sourcing, personnel crewing, human resources and safety departments.
  • Work with vessel crews and purchasing to stay within budget.
  • Respond to vessel accidents/incidents and assist in investigations as required.
  • Routinely inspect barges to ensure safe and efficient operations are maintained.
